Served in Persian Gulf on Guided Missile cruiser Fox.--- i have seven very fine children from two previous marriages, and three granddaughters,and three grandsons that i love very much, and am very proud of them all. I have lived in Norfolk, Va.,Beeville,TX.,Bremerton Wa., Vallejo Ca. San Diego Ca. Alameda Ca, Edinburg,TX. Some of my greatest moments in my life and most challenging times were (other then being the father of my children) are as follows : when i was told to take charge of mooring up an Aircraft carrier(USS Saratoga) in 1975 in Norfolk Va. as a young petty officer at 23 years old and barely an E-4 with a crew of 25 seaman. She came in to port missing her starboard anchor.I was proud as a peacock when everything came out great. Another time was when i was only 22 years old and put in charge of a 10 ton crane crew transferring 500 lbs. bombs for 2 and a half days in Earl N.J. all while it was snowing non stop, until we finished./ Firing the M-14 rifle in a sitting position and scoring a perfect score . I made 29 out of 30 shots with 1/2 second to go when the order was given to cease firing, and i did not take the shot ,and that episode will be engraved in my mind forever.".
