RICHARD's Story
Hi All. After Sunny Hills, I attended UC Irvine, where I was on the swimming and water polo team my freshman year. I received degrees in Biology and Chemistry, and went on to medical school at the University of Chicago. SC, I joined the University of Miami as Chair of the Department of Pathology and moved to Coconut Grove. In 2019 I accepted the position as Chair of the Department of Pathology and Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine and Annie and I moved to St. Louis as not so empty nesters with our dogs (Hank, a German Shorthair Pointer, and Charlie, a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel), and acquired a Russian Blue cat to top it off! Right around that time we built a home in the Deer Valley area of Utah, where the kids (who all live in Brooklyn) our dog and cat, and their cats frequently come to visit, ski, hike and golf. My dad still lives in Fullerton and I frequently visit him and my best high school friend, Hyman Katz, who lives in Santa Monica. I often think back on the great times at Sunny Hills.
