Rachel's Story
I am Ra'-chel, the shy, quiet one. But now I do speak my mind. I don't let people walk over me anymore. I drive a school bus and have been driving for 17 years. I am tired of driving now, I am getting ready to pursue my passion for baking. If the Yaw-weh says the same, I plan on going to Culinary School next year. I would like to be an Chef/Baker. I would like to open my own Bakery. I love to cook and bake and that's something I have been longing to do and I am going to do it. I love the outdoors, I like to hike, ride bikes, fishing, kite flying. I have another passion and that's crocheting. I do that in my passing time and I also do it for money sometimes. It all depends on the person and how big of a job it is. I make wonderful baby blankets. I do go to church. I have been in church all of my life. I sing with our choir and our praise team. Yaw-weh plays a big part in my life and he always will. Because without him I wouldn't be here. My life is good, I can't complain. I am in an relationship and it is complicated right now, but it 's all good. My friends remember me as the quit one. The best way that I blow off steam is to go somewhere quiet and pray and talk to Yah-weh, or go bowling. I really didn't do to many wild things in school. My hero in my life if my mom. I don't know what I would do without her in my life. She has been with me thru thick and thin. She inspires me to keep on keeping on no matter what comes in your life. Just put one foot in front of the other and keep stepping. The one person in my past that I would love to see is Rick Piegler. I had an school crush on him and I saw him at my first class reunion and he has changed his name. But it would be nice to see what he has been up too. I really don't watch sports, but I do watch the GreenBay Packers. I know the young man name James Jones #99. If I won $100 million, I'd give some money to my church, take care of my mom and my nanna and my sister. Take care of my son Te'Ron and my god-children. Then I would give money to people that I know that have their own volenteer companines. Help them out in anyway that I can. Give money to the Cancer Society, Aids Project. I would go around to different shelter's giving them blankets, toiletries for all the people and whatever else they need to help the people whom lives there. Donate money to the charter schools for books and computers. Help the afterschool programs with whatever they need for the children. Give 15 students that want to go to college some money to go to school. I would take my closet friends on an 7 day cruise. Buy myself an house and pay my bills off, get married, buy a new car and truck and the rest I would buy stock and put the rest in the bank and live off the interest. To be truly happy, I would like to be married to my friend, living on Martha's Vineyard and having my own bakery, and raising my baby with my husband. from Birmingham High I had a crush on Rick Pigler for the longest. And oh yea John Gaber was really cool. My oldest friend is Wendy Holder. We became friends at Mullhulland and we continued at Birmingham. When we got our of school I attended her wedding and when she got pregnant I attended the baby shower. When she had the baby girl I was like the god-mother. Rachel didn't want for nothing, I always sent her clothes and toys. I saw Wendy at our first and second class reunion and still til this day we are still friends and we talk by emails. She is truely a great friend. We never lost touch with each other.
I always wanted to be a artist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were let down.
I sit to myself praying to God to give me the strength to over come to what just happen. And my favorite way to relax is to watch a good movie, or read another Chapter in my bible.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a morning prayer, breakfast, and coffee to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My hero was my Grandfather. He was the best man that I knew on this earth. My inspiration comes from a good friend of mine name CheChe, she was really ill some years ago with lukeymia and it was really touch and go. But she held it together and now she has been here for 11 years and still doing well.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my grandfather aunt louise, because I love what they stood for..
No sports right now, but my nephew is playing for the San Jose Wolvirines. No pets at this time. And I have an obsession with shoes, watches, and purses, clothes.
To love your kids for who they are and not judege them for the wrong things all the time. We did some cracy stuff too when were their age. So they are not us and they have to make their own mistakes. You just have to be there for them when they fall and let them know that you love them no matter what and that you are there for them always.
If I won $100 million, I'd give my 10% to my church of it to my mother, then spend the rest on me and my nanna, give some to the homeless shelters and help those young people who want to go to college..
My best friend would tell you I'm a very kind dependable person, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a mean person and don't even know the definition of the word..
In 10 years, I hope to be married, with my own bakery, and my child. I'm going to get there by the next 5 years..
Wendy Holder is my oldest friend and we met at Mullhulland Jr High, and we both love art and that's where we met. And we went over to Birmingham High and continued our friendship and we click because we both love art.
My first job was at Sanyo Inc, where I got paid 8.95 to 10.00. What I remember most about it is It was a nice first job to have..
When I had chickenpox my sister got mad at me and picked a couple of my chickenpox off and my mom found out and she got a spanken, but I was in so much pain.
