People would never believe the rest of my story in a thousand years. I wouldn't believe it either if I hadn't of lived it. At the very height of my nursing career when I was Director of Physical Rehab at Phoebe Putney with 88 employees under my supervision... I had to retire due to a disabling bladder disease that actually began when I was 17, I just didn't recognize it at the time. I have IC, Interstitial Cystitis, which is a miserable inconvenient disease. Long story short, the worst symptom is pain and I could not work and take any type of medication. I have good days and bad days. On my good days, I can enjoy being at home and being my own boss, when I'm in pain, I can rest and relax without being bothered. I am still in touch with my best girlfriends of highschool, Scarlett, Crystal and Tracy. We visisted with Connie Ham just a couple of years ago. I've come full circle and realize that my friends are my most treasured possessions and still the very people that I rely on now to keep me grounded as they know me best. I live in Albany, never moving over 12 miles from Leesburg and my Mama still lives in our big white house on US 19 in downtown Leesburg!
