Rachel's Story
I always use 2 say, "I'm never going 2 have kids..." but the "LORD" blessed me w/ 3, a beautiful daughter & 2 handsome sons. I love my kids very much. It's funny cause I had them back 2 back my boys stay the same age for 4 days. I stayed home 2 raise them & worked some part-time jobs along the way. When they were in school, I used 2 c how much they enjoyed it & made me remember how much I used 2 luv school & did well (whenever I went but my partying life-style changed that). When i was young, sometimes i had a habit of starting something & not finishing, so in 2001 went to LB City College studied the rest of the GED exam that i had started in 1983 & never finished. other was actually preparing me 4 the next phase in my life, my youngest will be 19 but I think back 10 years ago i looked forward 2 him turning 18 & use 2 say "When he turns 18, my job is done...I can relax go have sum fun w/ my husband by ourselves. Right now i care 4 my elderly mother thats was diagnosed w/ vascular dementia. I've been caring 4 her full-time for 5 years now. This disease is very much like "Alzheimers". I thought raising 3 kids was hard but now i realize that it was training me 2 be able 2 handle my mother. This disease is so ugly & sad. Seeing my mother going from a strong, indenpendent woman 2 someone who cant even remember what she did 5 minutes ago. Not to mention being robbed of her memory & motorskills. I love my mother very much & thank GOD
for giving me a mother that is so self-less, giving, & responsible. We had our up & down thru life but my mom was always right about everything & always there 4 me even when I was acting like an idiot...she never gave up. Overall, I thank God for everything in my life.
