Rachel's Story
Life
After I left Don Pedro, my dad and I moved to Merced I went to school for 1 year then became pregnant with my daughter Madeline. I had Madeline in 1997, lived with my BF. I got my GED in 1997, went to college for about a year, then took some time off to raise my daughter. In 1999 my sisters and I were in a horrible car accident which left my sister Sarah paralyzed and on life support. I took care of her for about 2 yrs. In Dec of 2000 my BF joined the Marine Corp. ild Miguel. Mike and I married in May of 2001. He went to school for 7 mts. In Feb 2002 my family and I got stationed to North Carolina. My husband and I have been married for 3 yrs in May. Madeline is now 6, Miguel 3. We will be going back to cali in abot 5 mts. I am currently working at home, and plan on going back to school. I am 23 and have a good life. I am happily married.
