Rachel's Story

I am now living in Elk Mound, WI. My husband Gary and just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. I have one daughter and two step children. Together Gary and I share 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. I retired from the Eau Claire Area School District as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant working with children with special needs. Since living in the North Country away from Texas I have had to get use to the very cold and long Winter months. Driving in snow was a very big challenge. kiing once. This Texas girl does not have ski legs. But at last Summer and Fall seasons are by far my favorite time of the year. The Fall colors are beautiful. But I do miss seeing the Texas bluebonnets in Spring time. We spend a lot of our Summer and Fall time at our cabin taking the grandchildren fishing and four wheel ridding. Since Gary and I are both retired now we do like to get away from the cold Winter. His son and daughter live outside the Dallas area and try to visit when we can. I still love and enjoy visiting my family and friends back in Corpus Christi, Texas.
