Ralph's Story
Was married early to Carolyn, now single, 3 kids all married and have masters or better, 14 grandkids aged from 2 and oldest 4 in college. Have always lived in Ft Wayne. Recently downsized from living at Chestnut hills next door to a Cahill, now a few miles to the west.
Worked at Lincoln Life for about 26 years, after that for IT contractors taking care of Allen County courts, Clerk, Sheriff. Retired early 2023.
Did lots of continental US traveling in the early 90’s for about six years while working for Lincoln, building networks for field offices and affiliates. I enjoyed the travel opportunity. Was in Santa Monica during the opening day of the first Jurassic Park movie and suddenly found myself dazed, on the ground, then being pulled back up by an apologetic Goldie Hawn. She is a feisty one!!
My parents became more adventures as they aged. Mom is 93 and just stopped driving a few years ago.
Far too many hobbies\activities to mention them all: dog showing, backpacking, fossils, woodwork, history, family history and artifacts. I guess the highlight, other than family, would be USCF bicycle racing in the late 80s early 90s. Still riding regularly but not competing.
The best years were when all three kids were playing baseball, including my daughter, and their other activities.
