Ralph's Story
Life
I was born in Baraboo, Wisconsin, home of the Ringling Brothers circus so I've been accused of being a clown. They are probably right!
My Dad was in construction so we moved a lot. I have lived in Waupaca & Green Bay, Wisconsin (home of the Packers - which we attended every home game in the 1960's). From there we moved to Parsons, Kansas and then Dad's job took us to Pueblo, Colorado where I attended and graduated from South High.
While in high school my Dad suggested I study piano tuning as I liked music. I did and graduated from the American School of Piano Tuning in 1968.
After a year each at Western Bible Institute and Baptist Bible College in Denver, I moved to South Dakota and was married in 1974. There I helped on my wife...Expand for more
's family farm, drove school bus and started my piano tuning business. We moved to Bismarck, North Dakota, where I worked as a contract piano tuner for Wylie Music Company for several years.
(I met my wife, Candy, at the Stamps/Blackwood School of Music in Texas in 1973.)
We moved back to Colorado in 1985 and our son, Chris, was born a year later in 1986.
After living and working in the Denver area for several years I accepted a call from the First Baptist Church in Holly, Colorado as their pastor. I have been here since 1988 and I love the small town and it's people.
My wife and I sing as The Plummer Family (original isn't it?) and have one album entitled "Bring My Children Home," a Southern Gospel flavor.
Play my guitar or read a book.
