Ralph's Story
After graduating from Roosevelt, I attended Cal State Univ. Los Angeles and graduated with a BS Degree in Criminal Justice. In 1979, I was hired as a Boarding Service Officer at Los Angeles International Airport. I transferred to Airport Security in 1980. Airport Security became Airport Police in 1983. The agency was recognized by the Calif. Commission of Peace Officer's Standards and Training in 1988.

Unit. I was promoted to sergeant in 1991. Since then I've been an Assistant Watch Commander, Officer-In-Charge of Manuals and Orders Unit, and am currently assigned to Internal Affairs Unit.
I've been married 3 times, and have two daughters, one son and 4 grandsons. My current wife is Chun Luo Valencia, who was born in Hunan, China.
I always wanted to be a Police Officer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were incorrect.
