Ralph's Story

Military Enlisted in the Navy Reserve (submarines)in 59. Served on a diesel boat for two years and then off to nuclear power school. Spent 8 more years riding nuc. boats, 8 years on submarine repair ships and bases and 22+ months in Nam. Lived in Hawaii for 5 years (2...Expand for more
tours), Scotland for 2 years, Italy for 2 1/2 years and Spain for about 15 months. Made Chief and warrant officer at the ten year point and made lieutenant (junior grade) before I retired. Thoroughly enjoyed my time in the service but was ready to retire when I did.
