Ralph's Story
I was one of four or five Asian Americans in Santa Rosa High School at the time. Graduated from SRHS (Go Panthers) in 1955 and from SRJC in 1957 (Go BearCubs) and thought I was going to become an architec. I was admitted to the University of California Berkeley's School of Architecture; however, after six months there, I switched majors, because I knew I couldn't compete with the talent I saw there. Attended City College of San Francisco to amass necessary credits to get into UCB School of Business Administration; graduated with BS in 1960.

or for the State Department of Finance for over eight year before changing over to the University of California President's Office for 28 plus years in Budget Administration. Retired in 1998, as a Director of Budget Resources. After retiring, studied to became a Docent for the San Francisco Asian Art Museum; became an active docent in 2000, leading tour groups at the Museum;; switched to inactive status in 2011, but am still a supporting docent.
Married to wife Hazel for 49 years, we have two children and four grandchildren. We have traveled to various parts of Europe, Asia, Canada, and the US, especially during my work years and intend to continue this God willing!
