I hope this letter finds the specific reader(s), in good health and great spirits. Let's see; where to begin. Upon leaving likeable, loveable, Littlefield, in '89. I followed a turtle-like instinct.Joined the U.S. Army('89~'93)/Combat Medic/Oper: Dsrt Shld~Dsrt Strm('90-'91). went from dust bowls to sand storms. Walk in the park. I did not become assimilated to civilian life, until the ripe age of 42. Don't laugh; it takes longer, for some:) In betwixt that time; I have been homeless, 8 times, attempted suicide, at least 9. It perplexes me, still to this day: i told no one; however, i feel better now. I have visited 26 states panhandled through 5 states; lived in 5(NE, CA, NM, AR, TX). It's looking back upon my travels, friend, where I wished I had invested in frequent flier miles. Although homeless, I could not bring it upon myself to hold up a cardboard sign; I've always been eager to work. So much so; and not to boast; I have been working since I was 9; I've had 100+ jobs(temp, seasonal, sleep apnea). I owned my own business, for 6 years, making until the job ended. Coping with Agoraphobia and paranoia; I grew to love, being a waiter: 2 Mex; 2 Tex-Mex; 1 Italian and 1 American BBQ. I ran towards my fears of being in crowded public places. Waiting was therapeutic. I am thankful for many things and have no regrets, in my life. I believe the main regret, in life is not what one does. Rather, what one chose not to do. Ride on the, either the memory of regret or the preconceived notion of "what if", I reckon. Anyways, I knew which road, I was going to take in life, whence I wore younger man's clothes. there was one leading into town and the other, leading outta. I never imagined that i would travel from sea to shining sea(CA~NY). Rome, Ireland, Cairo, Saudi, Kuwait. I have been writing, since the 5th grade. I have written and entered poetry contests, written various poems and countless poetic letters. I'm not so much interested in making a living, selling my writings, as I am in wanting what I've written, to be read. I love two kinds of music, friend...country and western. Kidding...all kinds. I love to sing and dance. Have a few favorites, but will only do one performance a night. I have been a member of at least 8 different denominations(cath., pent., COC, bap., jeh wit., interdenom, non-denom. methodist, assem. of God. studied with Mormons and Jews for Jesus.
