Ray's Story

UPDATE: October 2015 - Traded my Monterey Engineering Manager hat for IT Manager at iHeartMEDIA San Francisco. Radio Market #4!!! Working with UHS alum David Williams in Engineering - you might have heard of one or more of the stations - KYLD, KMEL, KOSF, KISQ, KIOI, KKSF. Clearly *not* a KUKI - LOL!! Though I owe it all to that little 1000 watt station in the middle of nowhere, and my inspirations Dick Clark and Wolfman Jack, both of whom I've met, and in the case of the Wolfman, produced his show on KRLA Los Angeles back in the mid 80's. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life Thinking High School was never going to end, it did. Radio was my passion, and continues to be to this day. Except now, instead of doing everything, I do one thing. This has allowed me to focus on my daughters and their individual futures. gle again after nearly 25 years of marriage. Funny, I find myself wishing I was back in High School again... but some things change for a reason. My dreams have come true in a sense, my career has taken me to Los Angeles and now back to the Bay Area. I had always wanted to work in San Francisco, now I get to. Thanks to fellow Ukiah High alumni David Williams persistance. I now work for one of broadcast radio's largest companies, Clear Channel Radio, in one of the best settings I've ever worked (including LA). My oldest daughter Ashley (22) is married and living in Turlock, CA. My middle daughter Cheri (20)is still finding her place in life, though she still lives with me and my youngest daughter Alyssa (17) in Morgan Hill, CA. I hope that radio will be just as kind on this next journey and bring me to a place that I can enjoy with a friend that will be there until the end of my days. In the meantime, I'm committed to not breaking the cardinal rule in radio: "don't date groupies" (thank you David) LOL!
