Randall's Story
Hello whom ever you are that would be interested in my story.
My public school education started at Aure Avenue school in the K-5 Class of Sept. 1965. Later that semester I started 20th St. School, that is now called Phyllis Wheatley School and closed. After 1973 6th-Sixth grade graduation themed: "Bloom where you are planted" I went on to Roosevelt Jr. High School until the 9th Grade graduation 1976. Jr. High was full of the usual Jr. High stuff, Band, Choir, Student Council and my fathers death in 1975. Furthermore: I lost my Mother in 1997, and two of my older Brothers, Amos jr. and Gary in 2000 and 2013.
Sept 1976 I began my sophomore Yr. in North Divisions old building. Concert choir, stage & marching bands were large parts of my high school experience, not to mention the plays: Don't bother me I can't cope excerpts, Two Gentalmen of Verona and Hello Dolly. Attendance office monitor & math club, are two organizations that I still can't figure out how I became a part of. In 1979 I was Class Sargent At Arms of the first graduating class of the new building, and was on every other Senior class committee of the "New $20 Million Dollar North Division High", but I am most proud of making the Honor roll.
U.W. Parkside of Kenosha, WI was my next school. Then Milwaukee Technical Business School, and on to the U.S.P.S. for the next 15 yrs, and that was quite a stop; in fact we can call that a "Show Stopper"! Also took some classes for personal enrichment with M.A.T.C.

ice, but, in all fairness, I did meet some really wonderful people too like: Uranna Blathers, Emma Winfrey, Barbara Biddle, Beverly Mckinney and too many others to mention. The term "GOING POSTAL" IS NOT, OR SHOULD NOT, BE UNDERESTIMATED. But alas, there is life after the P.O: Man Power International Headquarters, Wisconsin Electric, U.S. Bank and the Aids Resource Center of WI, are employers that were as FAIR to me as the U.S.P.S. was UNFAIR.
I have traveled the U.S. extensively, but, have not gone any farther out of the Country than Mexico & Canada for multiple reasons. I still love to drive (and eat too much), but will admit; the big metal bird in the sky is the fastest/best way to travel when there's a long distance and little time.
Looking forward to our class "79" having a reunion of R own. We only had 136 people in our class in 1979. There's no doublt fewer folks left (still alive), & how many of them actually would $pay and or come? Meeting facilities, banquet rooms, food, drink, tee shirts etc... all cost $MONEY. Any Doctors, Lawyers, Big Ballers, Shot Callers with $money in our class that would be willing $pay for an event up front, or on their own? The classes of 80 & 81 have been kind enough to enclude/allow us to participate in their reuions of the past; and for that I am greatful, but would we have a larger turn out if we combined with the class of 78? Let's put some heads together and come up with some solutions?
Any way, trying to live and improve the next chapter of my life. Thanks for your interest, sincerely Randy Simmons.
