Life Hey, It's a little odd that I'm emailing on classmates.com (you know that was never my style), but I do wonder how everyone is and what they are up to these days. As for me, well I have been teaching Special Education/Learning Disabled students in Pontiac for the past 20 years. Every year becomes more dangerous to the teachers and students, but because we know we are truly needed we keep on fighting to make the best of each child we come into contact with. The challenges are overwhelming, but somehow all of us return, year after year, because we know that we are the ones that touch their lives in the most respective ways, and we are the only ones who can help them pursue their dreams.I have become frustrated with the types of people I deal with and the lifestyles that they see as normal,but I still carry on because I do believe that out of the many that I see, one or more will succeed, and that means my job has meaning and worth, which helps...Expand for more
