Randy's Story
Let¿s start when I escaped from the Central Valley and started work as a police officer in the Bay Area where I worked for 26 years. I married twice and have four wonderful children and four grand children. All of my kids are grown and the last one is finishing college. I tried to retire but took a job with a computer related company in the Bay Area. I worked four years traveling the world on their dime. So I got most of the see the world idea out of me. I traveled so much I missed out on important things in life. Sooooo I took a job as a Sheriff¿s Deputy in Northern California that was a dream job but I got an opportunity to take an international police officer job in Iraq imbedded with the Army. Sooooo I took the Iraq job and this is where I am for the next...Expand for more
two years. Each day I suit up in my Army uniform, put on my blast vest (IBA) that weighs 65 lbs, strap on my 9 mm hand gun and my automatic M4 rifle. Load my 300 rounds of ammunition and get into an Mwrap fully armored Army blast proof truck. I travel to Iraqi police stations and teach Iraqi Police how to be a police officer. We currently lose about 10 Iraqi Police each week to shootings or bombs.
I am now 55 years old, and still work out to stay in shape. I own some horses and enjoy riding in the back country of Utah where I have my home¿..will be returning to California soon. It is my belief that you need to be happy in life because we are here for only a short time, If you aren¿t happy then you need to change things so that you are. I am a very happy man.
