Randy's Story

Connie and I raised two sons, Randall who is 39 years of age and Preston who is 32 years of age and we had 7 grandkids. We lived in Cleveland Texas for 26 years and I retired February 1, 2002 and we moved to our farm in Maysfield Texas and started raising cattle. I lost my Connie May 23, 2007 after 38 years of marriage due to complications, incompetence and neglect of personnel employed with Scott and White hospital in Temple Texas. I am being nice when I describe Connie's death at Scott and White. I have had to start my life over after loosing Connie and times have been difficult to say the least. I continue to move forward with my life although it still bothers me at times and I know it will continue throughout life but may get easier with time. I do hope whomever reads th...Expand for more
is never has to deal with such a loss. I entertain myself with taking care of the cattle and the farm and try to enjoy the slow paced life. I continue to entertain students around Texas by dressing in my 1800s period clothes and speak to them about life in the Republic of Texas and her colorful history. When time and weather allows, I ride my Harley around Texas and enter it in shows when possible. I remarried too soon and admit my mistake. I have separated from my new wife since November 2 because she has a different opinion as to how a married woman conducts herself than I do. She was married four time prior to our marriage and some of you are saying..well..a red flag should have been visible to me...but I was weak from my loss and just knew I was the right husband...wrong.

My tamale warmer
My "throat scratcher" cornbread in a cast iron skillet.
You can tell my dog is suffering..treated so badly and has to keep the heater warm..;o)
My kitty showed up after being missing for 3 months. His name is Tripod because he has 3 legs
I took this last week and needed to post it. It's a little church I have been scraping and painting and cleaning up inside the pews and floor I had to oil with Old English since it was built in 1883
The little church here in Maysfield can be seen from my farmhouse. This is inside with the dusty pews and floors before we cleaned her up. You will notice the dusty white mess on the pews and floor. I will post one later of
