Randy's Story
After Graduation I enrolled in Ivy Tech for Automotive Service Technology classes. I worked for several places as a mechanic, farm laborer and whatever else I could do. I received the opportunity to take a job with Purdue University in 1980 in their Lock Shop as a Locksmith helper. I became certified as a Locksmith in 1982 and have been there ever since. I am now the supervisor over the day to day operations of the Lock Shop and Carpeter Shop in the Operations and Maintenance Department. n, Amber in 1982 and Travis in 1986. Travis blessed me with a beautiful Grandson Gage who was born in 2004 and Amber blessed me with another beautiful Grandson Maverick in 2013. During the early 1990's I owned my own Gun and Archery Shop and did Gunsmithing. My Ex and I also owned Korbes Gifts and Jewelry in Fowler which we later renamed Awards-N-More. We sold this business in 2002. I purchased 12 acres of woods and a home in 2011 and love every minute of living in the country. I will hopefully be able to retire from Purdue in 2015 and enjoy myself even more.
