Randy's Story
Life
After graduation I attended DeAnza then went to San Diego State. At about the same time Prop 13 reared its ugly head and I stopped school (wanted to be a teacher) and went to work. I worked at Four-Phase Systems/Motorola for several years and then Fujitsu Microelectronics. At this time I met my first partner, Melvin Manzano and I moved to San Francisco and commuted. I eventually left Fujitsu and Melvin passed away in June 1989. an (Kaiser Permanente). I have been there ever since, 16 years. I have worked as a Member Service Rep, Contracts Specialist, Member Services Director and currently I am the Ombudsman Mediator for the San Francisco Medical Center and report directly to the Area VP and the Physician in Chief. I have my BSBM (Univ. of Phoenix) and currently am working on my MBA. I will finish and graduate in 2005. I have been with my current partner, Toshiaki Murata since 1991 and we own our home and live in Pinole, CA with our cats, Shiro and Kuro and our dog Hana (cutest Sheltie).
