Randy's Story

Life I have been living in Concord CA for the past 4 Years and currently am not working. Prior to concord I was in Alameda for 1 year and Pacifica for about 7 years. Before that I was living in Newman CA, 35 miles SW of Modesto where I worked for Kmart and finished 16 years of service with them when they closed the doors. I am able to look out after my parents a little bit better since they only live 15 minutes away from me. My mother has a liver problem, but she plugs away she is the primary caretaker for my Dad. My dad has Parkinson¿s and Parkinson¿s related dementia, he almost has no muscles and we usually have to help him out almost all the time now. It is so difficult to see this happen to my parents but I Love them dearly and would do anything to make sure their last years are as good as possible. I have done a lot of traveling in the past few years; I took a trip to New York and went to Niagara Falls, Toronto then to Detroit. I took two cruises on Royal Caribbean one we flew to San Juan Puerto Rico and boarded the Adventure of the Seas Ports of call St. Thomas, St. Maarteen, Antigua, St. Lucia, Barbados. The second cruise was out of San Francisco to Vancouver BC. Stopped in Astoria OR then Seattle, Nanaimo, Victoria then debarked at Vancouver then took a drive to Whistler and stayed for a few days. I take a few trips to Scottsdale a year as well as San Diego. I am currently unemployed; I got laid off in December 2008 like half the country. I had been working for Omega Metals as an operations admin. Prior to that I was with Bear Stearns for almost 9 years. Since leaving High School I have found out ...Expand for more
that I have 2 other brothers and 2 other sisters that I never met when I was younger. I have only met the two brothers so far. I hope to meet the sisters one day, will be kind of difficult since my biological dad passed away in 1984. I have 3 nieces and 2 nephews. My sister Rebecca Daughter is 27 and he son is 25. My brother Don has a son who is 7 years old he is very intelligent and I love to play soccer with him. My sister Pam has 2 daughters one daughter who is 20 and loves fashion design and modeling. Her sister is 10 years old and loves being a cheerleader. My two older nieces are both expecting children shortly, the 20 year old is due March 2009 the 27 year old is due April 4th both are expecting boys the first will be Jaiden the other will be Aidan. I can¿t wait to meet my new family members. After departing High school I did a disappearing act, I did everything in my power to keep away from both my family and friends. It was not until 1992-1993 that I came to grips with my life and now moving forward. I had so much animosity against the world and tried to live my life without my past. As you know the past always catches up to you anyway. 2009 is hopefully a year of change for all, I hope to change careers, I would like to do something that has meaning. I am tired of having jobs that are pretty shallow and I never felt good about. I would like to do more traveling, I hope to eventually volunteer at a rest home for older people or terminally ill people. I still feel it is my duty in life to help other people and give back to the community. I always believe with God all things are possible¿.
