Randy Smith:  

June 8, 2016 I was born in Phoenix, Arizona. I played saxophone and flute in the Stage Band and won an award as outstanding soloist at the Flagstaff Stage Band Festival of 1973. I attended Phoenix College, and Mesa Community College as a music major. I went on the road with a cover band when I was 17 and drove from Phoenix, to Detroit, Little Rock, Billings. Seattle, Spokane, Reno, British Columbia, Alberta, all with different cover bands using Phoenix as a home base. I worked as a pro musician from the age of 17 and played on weekends after moving to L.A. while working a day jobs in the 80's. I studied Computer Science at West Los Angeles College. I worked as a senior video and integration specialist for 15 years. I am currently retired. Previous technical background includes 7 years as a cable TV technician, 7 years as a Volkswagen/BMW/ Volvo mechanic working at several auto dealerships in the L.A. area.
