Randy's Story
Life
I attended 1st- 5th grade at Spring Creek, TN. The middle of 6th grade I transfered to Beech Bluff HS where I graduated in 1966. I immediately enlisted in the USAF and served mostly at Craig AFB, AL. Upon discharge I worked for the Jackson, TN police Dept. in my home town. I retired from there in 1994 and then worked until 30 Dec 1998 as Chief Deputy Sheriff at the Madison County Sheriff's Dept. I have since been fully retired.
Along the way I was married 3 times and have a son and a daughter. My son now has a son. I guess that makes me a Grandpa. My present wife to whom I have been married for 11 years, has 2 granddaughter. My third divorce will be final soon, probably in December of 2005. Been final for a while now. I live alone, play golf and just enjoy life and my own company and anything else as I please.
College
I went to Jackson State Community College from 1978-80. Nine years after I was discharged from the Air Force. I went to school full time ...Expand for more
while also working full time. What a hell of a way to live, but I made straight A's with the exception of 2 B's. Worked my ass off for those A's..:)) That is the difference between being in school because you want to and because you have to. Graduated Magna Cum Laude. I cannot say if help me career wise, but it made me feel good about myself.
Military
I entered the United States Air Force 25 July 1966 and did my basic training at Lackland AF Base. After Basic I was assigned to Tech School at Amarillo, TX. and was an Honor Graduate from Aircraft Maintenance School. While there I was assigned to 3376th School Squadron (Little West Point) Our fatiques were so stiff with starch that we marched "goose step" to avoid breaking the crease. Then I was assigned to Craig AFB, Selma, AL. I served the remainder of my time there in the 3615th Pilot Training Wing and was discharged 3 months early because I had was already hired as a police officer in my hometown of Jackson, TN
