Randy's Story

Life After high school I traveled around a lot, and played in rock bands. That lasted until 1974 when I joined the Navy. After Boot Camp, I went to Basic Electricity and Electronics School in Great Lakes. From there I went to Pensacola, Florida for a year and a half for Electronic Warfare School. After graduation, I was sent to San Diego to the U.S.S. John S. McCain (DD...Expand for more
G-36). I was on the McCain for two years, and then I was transferred to the U.S.S. Fanning (FF-1076). We were in the Persian Gulf during the Hostage Crisis in 1980. After I was discharged, I went to school full time in Dayton, until I was hired by the U.S. Postal Service. I worked two years in Dayton, and then I transferred to Tempe, Arizona, and that's where I am today.
