Col Randy's Story

Life After high school I worked at Fords one summer, hated it and decided to get an education. Tried to joint the military but when my cousin was killed in Vietnam my family was to torn up and the time was not right. So I traveled around the country on my Harley for a year. I returned I joined the Redford Police Department, worked for 3 more years doing undercover police work. I took another Harley trip with some friends, got stuck in Aspen Colorado for a winter so I became a ski instructor. When spring arrived I biked to all four corners of the U.S. then to Canada. I came back and started college, went to the University Of Michigan and Eastern Michigan, joined ROTC. Graduated in 1978 and joined the military as a Commissioned Officer Distinguished Military Graduate (just means I had a GPA above 3.8, much better than high school). I went to Ranger School, Special Forces School and Airborne School. Then I went in Military Intelligence (I know it's an oxymoron). I went to American University for a Masters in Computer Engineering and Information Systems) 2 MS degrees. I was in four wars, The "Gulf War" (Kuwait)"Just Cause"((Panama) "Bosnia"/Kosovo" (the Balkans) "Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and "Operation Iraqi Freedom" (Iraq). Currently I'm a Colonel serving in IRAQ on an intelligence mission. Hobbies: Over the years I customized 10 bikes (mostly Harleys) and 8 Corvettes. I enjoy racing Corvettes when I have time. If I still have time I skydive professionally. I have over 500 jumps to date. Finally I invest in realestate and own property in five diffrent states. I'm in the process of building some homes in Dearborn, MI with an old high school friend from Southfield High.
