Randy's Story
Life
Well, what can i say, I have been in the Air Force for over 23 years now and for the most part have loved every minute of it. I plan on retiring in about 3 years. I have had the opportunity to travel all over the world and feel I am very fortunate to have done that. I missed the 10 year reunion because I was in Italy at the time, I was able to make the 20 year renion and had a blast. It was great seeing everyone again. I haven't been very good at keep in touch with everyone but I do think about them all the time. (Update Jan 1, 2009) I got married last year, February 29 to be exact. Then on April 14 my wife had a beautiful baby girl. I waited a long time to find the right person and when I wasn't looking she came along. I have been in the Air Force now for almost 26 years and will be retiring in Nov of 2011.
College
Well, I waited for 18 years to go to College. I have traveld all over with the military and have finally decided to go back to school. I'm attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, majoring in Professional Aeronautics with a minor in Safety. Should finish this year (2004). Can't wait. Well I graduated Cum Laude with a double minor in safety and management. I am now working on my Masters in Aeronautical Science. I can't believe I am going this far but I might as well since the military is paying for it.
Workplace

e all the maintenance personnel are following prescribed Instructions and doing all their work in a safe manner. I'm originally an aircraft electrician. When I get out of QA I will go back to an aircraft squadron and back to being an electrician. (Update Jan 1, 2009) I am now back in my career field and am a Flight Chief in charge of four sections. It's fun sometimes, but there are a lot of people to deal with.
Military
I started out in the AF in England. I was stationed at RAF Bentwaters, which is about 90 miles north of London. I was there for two years and was able to travel all over Europe and North Africa. Once my time was up there, I was sent to Keesler AFB in Biloxi Mississippi. I was there for 10 years. While there I did a lot more traveling, Saudi Arabia for Desert Shield/Storm, Europe (again), Carribean, Hawaii, and Iceland just to name a few. I moved to Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ in 1994. Since I have been here, I have done a lot of traveling as well. I've been to Qatar and Iraq in the last two years(2003-2004). I'm currently in Quality Assurance and enjoy my job. I'm a Master Sergeant now and should be retiring in about 4 years. (Update Jan 1, 2009)Well, I'm now a Senior Master Sergeant and will retire in Nov 2011. The Air Force is moving me to Misourri in March, so I'm packing up my family and moving. It should be fun and a great experience. We will come back here to Tucson once I retire.
