Randy's Story
Greetings to the Pekin High Class of '78.
Wow, here we are at our 30 year reunion this month! Who knew back then how life would turn out. I sure didn't - had no idea what career path I would be on or what kind of family I'd have.
School in Pekin was an interesting experience for me. We moved a lot when I was young, all within Pekin. I went to most of the grade schools, one year each. Which meant that I knew a lot of people by the time we got to PCHS. I look forward to meeting all of you again that can come to the reunion.
Lynne Fawer and I dated in school and after, and married in 1981. We just celebrated...Expand for more
27 years of marriage (plus 4 years dating!) We have two boys, age 9 and 14, with the oldest starting at PCHS this month. That's a milestone for us, though we're a little behind many of you on that one.
After PCHS there were some years away from Pekin for Lynne and I - mostly in the U.S. Air Force - but we found our way back in 1992 to start a family. Since then I've had two employers with Cat/automotive suppliers.
I get to travel a lot with my work. I've seen a lot of the U.S. this year plus trips to China, Italy, and Germany. Photography is my hobby in the off-hours on the road.
