Raquel's Story

Life I graduated from Monache in 1989. I went to Loyola Marymount Univerisity. I was an English major originally, so I racked up a lot of credits in that subject. I ended up switching to history/social studies. I minored in classics, and almost had enough credits to have a second minor in music. I was very active in music (especially the choruses). I spent 9 years as a teacher. I moved to Denver, Colorado a little over four years ago for a change of pace. I taught and was in a band for a while. I decided I really wanted a career change, and I was eager for a new challenge in school. I worked at one of the local hospitals as a critical care technician (ekgs, heart monitoring, patient care, ...Expand for more
etc.) until I began my accelerated nursing program. I graduated in May of 2007. I am working as a Telemetry Nurse (Cardiac/Critical Care). I was married in June of 2005 to Paul. He's an amazing musician, and an all-around good guy. We live in Lakewood (a suburb of Denver) with our big fluffy cat, Samantha. I don't have much free-time these days, but when I do, I enjoy time with Paul, exploring the city and outlying areas, playing my guitar and writing songs, listening to Paul's various projects, sports, reading, games, and movies. Check out Paul's band, (die) Pilot on My Space. You can find me on My Space as well by looking me up by my maiden name (I kept my own last name when I got married).
