To start with I did 20 1/2 years in Uncle Sam's Flying Circus handling anything that goes BOOM and even getting to blow some of it up myself while seeing the world on the governments (actually your) dime. I spent almost 8 years in Germany during 2 separate tours where my two oldest kids and a couple of grand kids still are. I spent almost a year in Saudi Arabia during 3 different tours, and 2 years in Korea where I retired from in 1999. WHAT A BLAST! I currently drive for a small trucking company in Thomasville hauling furniture out and anything they can find for me to come home with. You have to love hauling 26,000 pounds of marshmallows back from Chicago to a Nestle warehouse in Danville, Virginia one week before Christmas. I love the folks I work for and being on the road is almost better than being at home, but, like being stationed overseas you loose touch with anyone back home. One old boy at a place I go to in Ohio all the time asked last week if I had ever attended a reunion at one of my old squadrons?
