Ray's Story
It has been an interesting ride.
After graduation, I went to school in Iowa for a couple of years and then joined the U.S. Air Force, spending six and a half years on active duty. For nearly four years, I was stationed in Madrid, Spain.
I moved back to the local area after the service and went to work for the DuPage County Sheriff's Police, taking early retirement in 2003. Most of my law enforcement career was spent in forensic investigations. I also spent 10 years working with Mitch Paine on the Bomb Squad.

school, finally finishing a doctoral program, which allowed me to move into higher education as a second career. The GBN guidance counselor that told me that people like me didn't go to college might be surprised to know that I am a Dean at a university.
My wife and I live about 8 blocks from where I lived throughout high school. My daughter, Gina, will be a freshman at Glenbard East next year. I spend most of my time supporting her varied sports activities, although, as she moves off to high school, it will be down to cheerleading and soccer, which is her favorite.
I have been very lucky.
