Ray's Story

Ray Sikes: A Concise Biography As one of the “freaks,” also known as “hill people” at Albert Einstein High School, I avoided most sanctioned student activities but had some good friends and was the bass guitarist in a small-time band named Back Alley that played at junior high teen clubs, parties, and other modest venues. I am scheduled to retire in August 2020 and plan to devote more time to writing and being with family, especially our three (soon to be five) grandchildren. I also hope to use my public speaking gifts in ways that don’t involve teaching English in a post-literate society. All in all, God has been gracious to me and life has been better than I deserve.
