Life It's a strange and wonderful world, friends, when Nathan Vaughan is a teacher, Gary Hamilton is a kicker, Ken Kuykendahl owned an insurance agency, Kathy Dastous was a soldier, and I spent a couple years being a narcotics agent! From the beginning: I left Pasadena as soon as I saw that they spelled my name right on my diploma, got a degree in Chemical Engineering from A&M then left Texas as soon as I saw that they spelled my name right on my diploma. Joined the Army. Since I was an engineer I was assigned to an Engineering unit that built and blew up roads and bridges. Then since I knew some chemistry they sent me to a Crime Lab in Georgia and since it was easier to teach a chemist to be a cop than vice versa they sent me to Criminal Investigation school. The next couple years I worked as a Special Agent with the Army Crime Lab, doing analysis of trace evidence such as drugs, paints, hair, fibers, and arson investigations. So I was CSI way before CSI was cool. Met and married a young lady from Pennsylvania who was also in the Army. Married in 1980, still are. We both left the Army to work for the Kimberly-Clark Corp.
