Ray's Story
Now living in Oregon just outside Portland in the community of Tualatin.
Continued the journalism career I began at the Daily Jeffersonian the fall after I graduated. Since then I have worked as a writer and photographer at the Zanesville Times Recorder, Canton Daily Repository and nine years at the former Columbus Citizen-Journal. Also two years out for the U.S. Marine Corps and a visit to the sunny shores of South Vietnam.
I moved to California in 1983 and worked 17 years at the Thousand Oaks News Chronicle, later the Thousand Oaks Star, a bureau of the Ventura County Star.

lass of 60. Pat and I were divorced after 5 1/2 years but remain good friends.
Am now working at twice weekly paper in the community of Canby, about 15,000 pop., which reminds me a lot of Cambridge.
I have two children from my first marriage to Patty Smith. My son, Aaron, lives in Sacramento where he is a clerk/bailiff in Sacramento Superior Court. My daughter, Janele, lives near Denver, Colo, with her husband, Rob Lomax and their daughter, Jessica Morgan Lomax, my first grandchild and my delight.
My sister, Sandi, lives in Atlanta and is a flight attendant for Delta Airlines, flying international routes.
My mother is 91 and has advanced Alzheimer's. She lives in an assisted care senior community just up the street from where I live.
