Ray's Story
Life
Currently living in Des Plaines and working for Barry-Wehmiller Design Group. Still playing competitive ice hockey.
College
Attended Illinois State University from '74 to '78 graduating with BS in Industrial Technology. Played ice hockey and rugby at ISU. Still involved with the ISU rugby alumni and was named on the ISU Rugby Hall of Fame in 2006.
Workplace
Still doing consulting work in the project management, project engineering and process desing fields. I secured my State of Illinois Real Estate sales license in 2003 but in 2007 with market in a plunge and no sales, went back to full time consulting work. Still have a valid RE License and do part time sales.
I lived in Seoul, South Korea back in '91-'93 working on a nuclear engineering project. Go...Expand for more
t to travel extensively and visited places like Hong Kong, Singapore, Phuket, Bali, Tokyo, Manila and Macau. Unbelievable! Would do it again in a minute.
Social
Active member of Chicago Lions Rugby Club and have been playing rugby since 1974. Also coach soccer with AYSO, love mentoring the little kids and hanging out with the hot moms. After all, I am one of the oldest dads, most of my kids' dads are in their late 30's and early 40's, and are out of shape...fun stuff.
I also run with the Chicago Hash House Harriers "a drinking club with a running problem". Their 30th anniversary is coming up in June 2008 30YearsHashingInChicago dot com is the event website. While in Korea ran with the Seoul Hash as well. Drinking and running were always symetrical with me...
