Ray's Story
Life
I was born and lived in Alameda, California until twelve. That is when my family decided to move to Idaho Falls, Idaho. I still wonder what the hell my parents were thinking. The snow, the cold, the (you fill in the blank); those fond memories of that place keeps me cold when itâs over 110 in the Arizona summer. My tour or duty there lasted for my three years of junior high. My best friend there was David Lowery. Hi David!
The family finally moved to Mesa, Arizona where I spent my high school years. After high school I went directly to college and did not leave until 2003 when graduating from Santa Clara University with a Juris Doctor. College was very very good to me. Along the way I earned a few degrees and a minor (couple of science degrees, political science degree, and a minor in philosophy). It is still hard for me to believe I started college when Reagan was President and finally left when Bush 43 was almost at the end of his first term. Before you think that I was a slacker, I did have a job all the way through those years. Worked in the freshman chemistry department (lab assistant) and learning resource center (chemistry tutor) at Arizona State University. Spend a couple of years working for Maricopa County as a chemistry and physical sc...Expand for more
ience lab supervisor at Mesa Community College and South Mountain Community College.
After Santa Clara, moved back to Arizona where I got licensed to practice law. The first couple of years I worked as a defense attorney but now I am a prosecutor. There is nothing better in life than the rush of a jury trial; especially, when the jury comes back with a guilty verdict. The defendant I got a guilty verdict on for a (DUI impaired to the slightest degree) this last Monday probably would not agree. But hey, you should not have taken the stand.
A few years ago finally got married for the first and only time at the ripe old age of 35. Being single was fun while it lasted (remember the reference to college being good to me). No children yet, but it looks like one is on the way. Damn, I so enjoyed getting sleep and having extra money to blow whenever I felt like it.
On my free time I enjoy watching/playing sports, the outdoors, computers, and taking photos (nothing risqué of course, lol, only nature shots and Indian ruins/petroglyphs).
Well, I better get back to looking over Fridays court calendar. Need to read those police reports to make sure the state can prove their case..
