Ray's Story
In the photo, I'm the guy in the yellow t-shirt. I've raised a daughter who is now 21 and has a son, Jason. I was going to college on-line to earn my associate's degree in accounting, but last year my mom was put into a nursing home and because of the cost involved, I had to drop out of the college I was attending. My mom passed away on April 4, 2011. It has been difficult for all of my family, but I think it affected me more than the others because I was living with her at the time of her passing
I would like to see Mr. Van again. He is the teacher that really peaked my interest in math. I don't know if he's still around, but...Expand for more
I would like to talk with him if I could.
If I only got one do-over, that would be the date of my accident when I lost 3 fingers from my right hand. This accident changed everything for me.
My oldest friend is Chet Yavor. We met in the 10th grade. We were both introverted to a point, but he helped me raise my confidence when I really needed help in that area of my life.
I was recently approved for SSI disability because of my epilepsy, my right hand, and mental impairment due to the taking of phenobarbital to control the seizures for over 30 years. I am now able to pay my bills and continue to live in the home I was raIsed in..
