Ray's Story
1957--graduated from Central Commerce with eight Grade 13 credits
1958--attended Bloor Collegiate and added five more Grade 13 credits to diploma
1959--moved to New York City and studied professional photography at the New York Institute for one year (played piano part time in the New York dinner clubs)
1960's--worked in professional photography around Toronto and eventually opened own business, "Raymond Blomme Studio" on Avenue Road in Toronto
1964--married Sylvia
1968--went back to school, attending and graduating from Toronto Teachers' College (in later years finished a university Master of Arts degree)

ing the Department Head of Music and Fine Arts at Windfields Junior High School
1974--hired by Durham College (Oshawa) as the full-time head Teaching Professor of photography in the Design Arts Dept. (Graphics, Interior Design, Journalism); worked there for 25 years;
1998--retired from full-time employment
Currently: doing some part-time teaching and consulting in the College system; teach private piano lessons (mostly pop and jazz, but some classical as well); some commercial piano playing (see "Photos"); like to keep healthy by attending three one-hour aerobics classes per week; like to travel, mainly to Europe, the Caribbean, and U.S.A.; just celebrated 46th wedding anniversary;
