Raymond Kornman:

CLASS OF 1964
Bridgeton, NJ

Raymond's Story

After graduation in 64, I worked as a Plumbers Helper for AJ Petrunis for 3 months, I knew that wasn’t a job for me. I joined the Air Force in September 64. In September 1965 I married the love of my life, Anne Estlow (BHS class of 65). I was stationed at Langley Air Force base in Virginia, were Anne and I lived for just a few months till my C130 wing was transferred to Vietnam. I returned in 1967 and was stationed at Stewart Air Force Base in Tennessee where we lived for over a year. I got out in September 1968, got a job at Airwork in Millville and built a rancher in east Vineland. Anne went back to school and became a Nurse in 1976. In 1978 I was transferred from Airwork, Millville to Long Island, New York and we lived there till 2005....Expand for more
Anne got sick in 2006, the big C and fought it till this past January. Anne’s Sister Rosemary which was in our class of 1964, passed away of cancer in 2005. We have three children, Raymond age 43 and lives in Morristown, NJ. Pamela 39 and her husband Jim live in Crofton, Maryland and Michael and his daughter Lauren live in Ashland, Virginia. Anne’s father passed away when she was just 8 years old. Anne was cremated in Virginia but her urn is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bridgeton, with her Father. I just turned 65 and now have my Medicare card, I’ll wait a few more years for Social Security. I can tell all ready, I’m not going to like getting old! Very best of luck to everyone, and make sure you Vote in 2012. Ray
