Raymond's Story

The same way they did "back in the day." I was stationed in the Phillipines for two years at Clark AB and have been in UTAH since 1976. I always wanted to be a oceanographer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a different idea. As it turns out, they were right. Either a good book or a great old classic movie If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have reason, to be there, and a good cup of coffee to be able to deal with the day-to-day. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my mom, because I still have so many questions I need answered.. Baseball, especially the Dodgers, my five grand children. ASA Softball (FP),trying to improve on my handgun skills. That I stayed in Utah this long. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a gas stove. My dream home would be just north of Morro Bay of of Highway 101. That they never cease to amaze me. All three of my sons have interesting lives. Mr Pipkins to let him know that I remembered a lot of what I learned in his class. If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to my kids, then spend the rest on a house in Morro Bay, a 1957 T-Bird a Chevy Bel Air and Dodger Season Tickets.. My college years were spent in the USAF. Leaving in a house in north of Morro Bay, managing the In and Out in Santa Maria and spending a lot of time with "Mrs. Jones". My current age is 54. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be near death. I was so completely surprised to still be here. Who knew that after...Expand for more
I separated from the USAF, I would end up working at the same place i started my USAF carrer and after 30+ plus years I'm still ther. It's been a very interesting time. She broke my heart when she moved to New Zealand with her family. My best friend would tell you I'm a little crazy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as NORMAL!. Golf Shirts and shorts year round except when there is a little to much snow. Occasionally I will wear a dress shirt and a tie if it is absolutely neccessary. Clearing away cement from irrigation piping that had to be redone. I wore out two pair of gloves and wrecked a pair of boots. I share my home with "Vintage" GI Joe's, which I find interesting. All of my "atta" boys are filed away. The only thing I have displayed is my Membership Certificate for the 1964 GI Joe Club. Work harder on saving my first marriage. Fortunately we are still good friends. In 10 years, I hope to be living in Morro Bay. I'm going to get there by retiring in 2012 and making it my next goal.. Even though I have not seen him in many years I still consider Roger G my oldest friend. we met when we were in the 3rd grade and stayed friends thru HS. We even joined the USAF together. I hope that someday we can re-connect. Oh my god his hair turned gray!!!!!!!!!! My first job was at Lucky Market in Carson, where I got paid not enough to bag groceries and chase down carts. What I remember most about it is Working the week ends.. My Dad teaching me how to body surf at Redondo Beach.
