My little brother, Bill, was killed in an auto accident in July 1974, two months after my graduation from high school. Went to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville for two quarters majoring in Chemical Engineering, but I dropped out and joined the Navy in March 1975 going into the Delayed Entry Program (DEP) and went on active duty in May 1975 to boot camp in San Diego, California. The rest is history covered under my later education and jobs.".
