Life
My residency requirements took me to Roanoke, Virginia to a job I enjoyed very much. A trip to Vermont with an accidental meeting on the ski lift brought me to another excellent job in Montpelier, Vermont.
Vermont -- love it or hate it, there's no gray area here. I love it. This last weekend (MLK 1/2005) I went camping in a very rustic cabin, basically camping with a roof over my head and a decrepit woodstove. In the -5 degree weather I went xc skiing and snowshoeing. So Vermont is not for the faint of heart. Or for the politically conservative.

ducated in Atlanta had a lot to do with my passing the test. So in May 1999 my daughter Leni was born, and in September 1999 my son Danny was born. Adopting my children has been the most overwhelming voluntary act of my life. If I were younger or richer I'd keep on adopting, but I'm neither.
My life now is as a single mother. It's a challenge, but this is definitely the best time of my life. My work is rewarding and challenging, I have a wonderful, loving man to spend time with, and I'm watching my children grow and evolve every day.
Definitely ahead of where I thought I would be in 1974!
Workplace
I'm the president of a 100+ member physician organization, negotiating contracts, administering group benefits and financial services.
