Rebecca's Story
Moved to San Franscisco after high school with the plan to study dance. Joined the army instead to save for college, but got married and had kids. Moved back to Santa Rosa, went to college at the JC and Sonoma State as a mom and got my bachelor's in Sociology. Spent 10 years in the army reserves (12 yrs service altogether) as a military police officer, drill instructor, and leadership istructor. ent back to college and got my master's in special ed., a school counselor certificate, and counsleing license. Worked as special ed teacher, juvenile probation officer, and then started a private practice 7 years ago. Most recently, I have been working as a consultant and travel to various military bases to provide counseling for military families due to the stress of multiple deployments. I have two children, a daughter who is 23 and lives in Brooklyn, and a son who lives in the bay area.
