My Spouse
I was living in the Washington, D.C. area and working for the United States Navy at the Pentagon. as an administrative assistant. My roommate's boyfriend (later husband) was on a ship based in Norfolk, Virginia. One of his friends was the man I later married. The first time we met, I was actually on a date with someone else !
My Pets
No more cats and dogs - they all have gone to animal heaven!
My Kids
I have two children and I am very proud of both of them. They are both married and have presented my husband and I with a total of five wonderful grandchildren. My husband and I adore them all. We are grateful that our children live close to us and we are priveleged to share their lives with them.
My Job

couple of years ago - from a school secretary to Administrative Asst. in Human Resources at the District Office of our local school system. Love it - but looking forward to retirement in the not too distant furture. As a cancer survivor of almost 5 years, I can say quite emphatically that life is good!
An update - retirement is a very good thing! I retired on August 1, 2013 and I love it! Steve and I feel grateful to go to the lake and stay as long as we want, to attend events for our grandkids, to spend time together and sometimes just chill! With four grandsons playing football this year, we had a busy fall going to games. We are looking forward to the holidays and then Arizona for a month this winter. Life is continuing to be good!
