Rebecca's Story
Life
I am married and living in Abbeville, AL. I have 3 boys. Dalton 14, Caleb 10, John Michael 4. I have 1 sister-in-law and one brother-in-law. I also have 4 step sisters-in-law. I have 6 nieces and 8 nephews. There's 2 sets of twins. One set of boys and 1 set of girls. I am a Human Resources Team Coordinator for Movie Gallery. I have been working at MG for 7 years. I went to Hollywood last year for a managers meeting. It was the first time I had been on an airplane. I was scared but I relaxed once we got in the air. I was glad when we got back to Dothan though. Glad to be home.
My husband is the shop foreman at Abbeville Paint & Body. He is also the painter. He does a lot of one of a kind paint jobs. He is currently working on getting certified as an EMT as well as being a volunteer fireman.
We spend a lot of our time on the weekends at the races. He's the tech man at the Abbeville Mud Bog. But he is building a race truck to take to Albany to race. The only racing we don't watch is Nascar. Sorry all you Nascar fans out there. :)
School
My biggest high school crush was David Smith. I had a crush on him most of high school.
If I could do high school all over again, I would. In high school, it was all about my friends and what our plans were for the weekend. High school was loads of fun.
I did a lot of crazy stuff in school. Most of it involved cutting class with my friends to sneak off somewhere and smoke cigarettes. The only time I was ever busted for cutting was when me, Jenny, Donna, and Sharon skipped school and went to the Albany mall for the day. That was fun but so...Expand for more
me stupid bus driver told on us. A few seniors also got in trouble for our "senior skip day". We were supposed to spend a week break detention but the coach said we were a bad influence on the 6th and 7th graders because we were having such a good time.
College
I went to college in Eufaula at Sparks. I got a diploma in Office Information Systems. Jamie and Julie went the same day I did but they bailed on me and didn't go. I met some interesting people but none like my high school friends. I worked full time at night at Bagby as a waitress so I pretty much quit going out then. Also by then I had Dalton so I had to take care of him too. Not much time left for going out.
Workplace
My first real job was at the restaraunt in Cuthbert. I worked with Tameka, Matthew, Andy, and Keith. After I quit there, I got the job at Bagby and worked there for about a year until I graduated from Sparks. Then I got engaged and got a job in Blakely at Robera's. I hated every minute of it. That was the worst job that I ever had. I quit before Mike and I got married.
After we got married and moved to Abbeville, I got a job in Headland at a pen printing factory. I printed logos on pens and was the secretary. My last job was at Movie Gallery and I have been there ever since.
Military
Never joined the military. I decided that having some jerk yelling in my face was not my idea of fun. I was too much of a smartass for all of that. At 18, I liked being able to do what I want when I want too much to be bossed around all the time. At 32, I still like being able to do what I want when I want. (lol)
