Rebecca's Story
Life
Hubby & I are expecting a baby boy, due around the end of May! We're finishing up an assignment in Germany this year. We should know by summer where we're going next.
College
I loved college, but couldn't wait to get a paying job! The only thing I regret is that I didn't have as much fun as I could've. Sure, I partied a little, but I hadn't learned how to really unwind yet!
My roommates were all great...I didn't have a single one that I couldn't get along with.
Military
For many people, there's nothing like basic training to teach you what you're made of...except for maybe losing you...Expand for more
r dad to cancer and going through basic at the same time. Two of the hardest things I've ever done. I dare say that I appreciate the little things in life much more because of those experiences.
Much of my day-to-day job is spent travelling and waiting...I do rehearse and have some desk work, but for the real mission, travel takes up most of the time. Tours with military bands are pretty much an extended high school field trip, except you have to train to be a military member (yes, I can fire an M-16), and you can't just drop out...they can actually send you to jail and/or dock your pay if you screw up!
