Rebecca's Story
I am still pretty much a private shy quiet person, still prefer' one to ones' rather than a big crowd,
my personal high points have been my wonderful 5 children and 6 grandchildren and Thank God almost daily for their good health.
My professional high points include but are not limited to: managing a closed ward(in those days "Head Nurse")for men many who were Vietnam war vets in the 1970'2, working in a large Emergency room in a major city, started from scratch a free medical clinic for the homeless in the early 1990's before free clinics were popular,Did a 3 year stint as a travel nurse in home care and worked in LA, Colorado. VA, Kansas and ended up in Ketchikan Alaska for a year and a half.Wonderful experience and as usual traveled with myself. Had a blast driving round trip from Alaska t...Expand for more
o Pa twice with myself. By the time I was finished with travel I really wanted to drive from the top of Alaska down thru the America's. Fortunately I didn't attempt that. If I could find someone to pack and unpack( I hate that part of travel, I just like to throw stuff in a garbage bag and go) would love to travel some more ...Love to drive...at least I did. these days I guess I am getting lazy . Still work a bit but have to admit I am weary of sick people. Still love the science of it, but am looking to ending my last 30 years(for real!!) or so having more fun ..
Take good care all and lets enjoy our generations work ethic and ideals and love the young ones coming up who are just as good as we were and in some cases even better. Our world is in good hands cause we raised them that way!
