Rebecca's Story
Moved to Florida with my husband Steve four years ago after closing my Antique Store in Austin Texas. Enjoying life here in Beautiful, sunny Florida with its gorgeous beaches. Playing golf every week, painting with oils on canvas, mostly of the Seascapes and landscapes. My husband and I love to travel the country and have beautiful photos of America. We have one Very Handsome Son and two Adorable Baby Grandsons who live in SC. We are both good photographers and enjoy photographing tropical birds, which we post on Photo Bucket at times. My husband is a Mechanical Engineer with 10 patents (inventions) and I am enjoying life to the fullest. We plan to spend Thanksgiving with our Son in Myrtle Beach where he has his second home. My Golf game has really improved since WE moved to Florida. My painting is at a higher level also. Steve is my 2nd husband and he loves to travel, so we have really enjoyed our lives together. We are planning a Royal Carribean Cruise soon. I have many new Friends here and really love living in SW Florida.
I graduated back in 1973 and it seems like a different Lifetime now. I still remember many students and Teachers from Good Old ROY MILLER HIGH SCHOOL.
My spoiled Calico turns 10 years old in June. Her name is Puddin and she is very intelligent and loves gravy. She appears as if she is only about 2 or 3 years of age. She is very petite and precious to me. She is my only Pet and we are very close.
I watch the Yankees play Baseball everytime they play and of course they are my favorite Team. Derek Jeter is my favorite player and then Jorge Posada. I have been watching them for many years (15) and my husband is the one who introduced me to Sports. He loves the NY Giants also. Of course he was born in New York.
My favorite Pro Golfer is Phil Michelson because he is GREAT and he is a Family Man who respects his Wife and Children and that is a GREAT Man to me. Reality TV is not for me because it is SO NOT REAL!!!

7th 2011: UPDATE:
On November 13th 2011 my Beautiful Mom was taken to Heaven, so my husband and I flew to Corpus Christi from Florida in order to give our deepest respect and condolences to her and all her loved ones. She was 86 1/2 years of age and had quadruple bypass heart surgery about 3 years ago. Life will never be the same for me and all my 9 sisters and brothers. She was a very strong person and I know she would want all of us to "Stay Strong and Carry On". She lived a very Good Life, and I miss her very much. The holidays will not be the same this year, but I am spending time with my Son and Grandsons, so that should help give me some joy. I have a Great Respect and Great Memories about Mom, because she was the BEST Mom that God could have bestowed upon me. I usually do not share such personal events in my life, but it helps to write about them. I know that some of you have lost a loved one, like a Dad or Mom, so please write about it because it is therapeutic to talk about it or write it down. (Your Feelings)
God is really comforting me because I have so much FAITH in God and the Afterlife, and I am attending BIBLE STUDY with my neighbor Marsha. She is a 7th Grade School Teacher which also lost her Mom at the beginning of this year.
Before my Mom left this Earth, I wrote her several letters letting her know how much I appreciated everything she did for me throughout the years, and it is helping me heal. Having 10 children is a job in itself and she excelled at being a Great Cook, housekeeper, adviser, disciplinarian, seamstress, good wife to my Dad and she was great company and had many friends. I loved watching old classics on TV with her and I still enjoy the Classics.

I actually got to visit with a few former students which attended my Mom's services and it was good to visit with them for a while. Bye for now.
