Rebecca's Story
Life
I've now lived in 10 states, been an accountant, chemist, and general surgeon, vintage travel trailer restorer, and web guru. I recently gave up my medical practice and now make my money off the internet, through advertising and sales. My oldest site (14 years) is Feline Diabetes (listing a web address is verboten here, but just add .com to that name!).
Married 3 times (2nd time to our classmate Billy Moore, not too much contact over the last 20 years but he lives in Bastrop where my sister lives and I have land, so I hear all the gossip!). Current marriage is 22 years to a wonderful man, Paul Jagodzinski, who has overcome his disabilities of being Polish, a Yankee, and an Aggie. He's Head of the Colorado School of Mines Department of Chemistry and Geochemistry in Golden, CO. No kids, lots of pets, we love to ski and travel. Downhill skiing is the one sport we both participate in that I WAS better at than Paul but December 2005, I celebrated my 54th birthday by catching some really great air. Alas, my landing sucked, and I suffered a concussion (yes, of course I wear a helmet), multiple broken ribs, a broken arm, and a broken wrist. While I recover from surgery, Paul is using the time to take more lessons and ski...Expand for more
more so he can finally be better than me. But I'll be recovered in time for spring skiing!
We adore Colorado but still get back to Texas frequently to see my family. Parents died a long time ago but 4 of my 5 siblings still live in the Austin area. Paul and I are in the process of buying 5.5 acres of land in Bastrop (Lost Pines area) to have as a Texas anchor.
Though high school is a dim memory, I often wonder about a lot of my classmates. Hope everyone has had an interesting and great life like me!
Update 2010: Paul is now Dean of the College of Engineering, Forestry, and Natural Sciences at Northern AZ University. We live a few miles outside of Flagstaff, at 7000 ft, on 2.5 acres of horse property. Quite a shift in our lifestyle and we love it. I had a major heart attack in Jan 2010, doing OK now, not yet allowed back to my full farm girl activities plus I broke an arm 3 weeks ago. We still travel a lot but mainly domestically now- too many animals to take care of and it's tough to beat travel in the US. Though I've been retired for a year, I'm planning a comeback in a medically related field. Economic times are too tough and too iffy not to be working if possible. Hoping all are weathering the times well.
