Paul's Story
Pease was my first base assignment, I arrived around the 3rd of January 1969. Had absoloutly no idea of what I was getting into either. Spent the seven months humping the flight line as a SP and then through some fate, made a unmentionable comment to a Staff Sergeant named Gunner can't remember his last name (Anybody remember him?) and got myself taken back to CSC for a cup of coffee and a talk wit...Expand for more
h TSgt Fleming. Next thing I knew I was in front of the Chief the next morning and soon sent out for an interview with SSgt Woody, at the Kennels. Lo and behold I became a OJT Sentry dog handler. Oh Jim Egan, Lucian Gilbert, Paul Scherb and all you others..... whatever became of you? Well actually I know what happend to Jim, he married the gal I was dating and went on to become a NY State Trooper
