Rebecca's Story
My life in a nutshell. After high school I went to Western Kentucky University and graduated with a BS degree in Community Health. As soon as I graduated from there, I went to graduate school at the University of Louisville as a graduate teaching assistant. I got my Masters of Education in counseling psychology in 1994. I then met and married my husband who is an officer in the Army. We moved to Louisiana and I taught at Northwestern State University for three years. We then moved back to Kentucky for a short period of time, and then moved again to Texas. There was not a University close by where I could teach, so I became a social worker and worked for the state as a child abuse investigator. We lived in Texas for three years. We lived there for three years and then moved to Monteray, California where my husband went to the Defense Language School and learned Spanish. We then moved again to Nashville, Tennesse where my husband got his Masters Degree at Vanderbilt University in Latin American Studies. I then had my daughter who was born in January 2004 at the age of 34. After Nashville, we moved to Argentina. Our next move was to North Carolina for one year and then to Vero Beach, Florida. Currently my husband is in Iraq and we don't know where we are moving to next, although it might be back to South America for three years. I promise to keep updating my story because it is constantly changing and I would love to have visitors in South America!!
